Announcing the 6th Edition of the HKGNA International Music Competition 2025!

We are proud to present our biggest competition to date, featuring world-renowned judges and distinguished artists at the 6th HKGNA International Music Competition 2025.

Over the years, HKGNA has proudly launched the careers of our Grand Prize winners by providing exceptional performance opportunities, including appearances at the acclaimed HKGNA Music Festival and the iconic Carnegie Hall in 2010, 2015, and 2017. Notably, in 2017, our Grand Prize winner captivated a sold-out audience at Carnegie Hall during the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, an event supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York .

Our 2021 winners further demonstrated their extraordinary talents in Seoul in 2023, with great support from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices in Seoul and Tokyo. Additionally, previous Grand Prize winners have been featured on CJENM tvN Asia, reaching audiences across eight countries and regions, with viewership exceeding 20 million households.

Eligibility:
Exceptional young artists aged 25 and under, from Hong Kong and around the world, are invited to participate in this unparalleled opportunity to elevate their musical careers on an international stage.

Competition Highlights:
• Grand Prize Concerto Final: November 22, 2025
• Grand Prize Award: HKD 80,000 cash prize, debut performance at the HKGNA Music Festival 2026, and an exclusive overseas concert engagement
• Hong Kong Top Prize Winners: Awarded a debut performance at the HKGNA Music Festival 2026 and an overseas performance opportunity
• International Top Prize Winners: Invited to perform at HKGNA Music Festival 2026/ HK Debut Concert

• Semi-finals: October 24–30, 2025 (live)
• Solo Finals: November 3–8, 2025 (live)
• Grand Prize Concerto Final: November 22, 2025

• Announcement for the Semi-finalists: October 6, 2025
• Semi-finals: October 13, 2025 (online submission, applicants may use the same recording as the preliminary round)
• Announcement for the Solo Finalists: October 17, 2025
• Solo Finals: October 20, 2025 (online submission. For Strings (Violin/Viola, Cello) Division: Concerto Repertoire performed in the Grand Prize Concerto Final is not eligible for repetition in this competition round.)
• Announcement for the Winners: October 27, 2025
• LIVE Grand Prize Concerto Final: November 22, 2025 (Hong Kong)
