Canadian superstar violinist James Ehnes, named Artist of the Year by Gramophone magazine in 2021, will return to the HKGNA Music Festival 2024 alongside acclaimed pianist Orion Weiss to headline the launch of HKGNA’s brand new Virtuoso Series and Music Festival. The recital program will feature three masterful Beethoven violin sonatas: the energetic Sonata No. 1, the beloved “Spring” Sonata No. 5, and the technically demanding “Kreutzer” Sonata No. 9.
Audiences can expect a thrilling performance that showcases the virtuosic artistry of this celebrated recital duo as they bring Beethoven’s timeless works to life. This opening night recital promises to be a captivating start to the 2024 HKGNA Music Festival!
